Being in the tanks is more like floating in outer space than being shut in a box. You’re always in control of your environment, and even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the tank. In addition, here at Surrender Wellness Spa our tanks are actually more like spacious chambers. They are roughly 4′ wide and 8′ long, with ceilings around 6′ high .
About half of our clients that suffer from motion sickness are not able to float the full hour. You can take your medication before the session, borrow our “Sea-Bands” or leave the lights on and see if that helps. If you do feel nauseous at any time it’s always better to exit the tank and end your session.
